The BIS is a accredited Bachelor’s degree, from a nationally recognized University.

Our part-time degrees are exactly like our full-time programs with regard to courses, caliber and faculty. Just like any BA or BS degree from Villanova, the BIS degree is a 120 credit program. However, knowing that the BIS student is also an adult with real-life career experiences, and often more specific goals than the typical student, we’ve reduced the core requirements from 60 down to 45 credits. This gives you more freedom and flexibility to tailor your education to fit your needs perfectly.

Whether your preference is evening, weekends, or online classes, you can obtain your degree at your own pace and style. If you are looking to move fast, our FastForward Track can get you there in as little as three years (when entering with 60 credits).

Of course you’ll still have access to all of Villanova’s traditional core offerings in humanities, ethics, philosophy, social sciences and quantitative and scientific theory. But additionally, you will be able to place greater emphasis on specific courses that reflect emerging trends in today’s society and business —making you a more well-rounded, marketable asset.

BIS Students Majoring in General Studies can also simultaneously earn their PA Teaching Certification in Social Studies.
